Taylor and Lucas

Founder

Lucas and Taylor,  are a husband-and-wife artist team whose work blends craftsmanship, storytelling, and a deep appreciation for animals. The two first met while serving in the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan, and have since spent over a decade building both a life and artistic practice together.

Working collaboratively, Lucas and Taylor create distinctive mixed-media artwork using precision-cut aluminum as their foundation. Each design is carefully cut and then hand-painted with acrylics, allowing vibrant color and expressive detail to emerge. The finished pieces are sealed with a protective epoxy coating that enhances depth, luminosity, and durability. By layering painted imagery with sculptural aluminum panels, their work bridges the line between painting and metal art.

Animals are at the heart of their inspiration. Sharing their home with three dogs—Auggie, Rex, and Toby—the couple draws daily inspiration from the personality, movement, and spirit of animals. Their work aims to capture not only the physical likeness of their subjects, but also the character and presence that make every animal unique.

As traveling artists, Lucas and Taylor present their work at fine art festivals across the United States, where they enjoy connecting with collectors and fellow animal lovers. Through their collaborative process, they continue to explore new ways of combining metal, color, and form to create artwork that celebrates both craftsmanship and the enduring bond between people and animals.
